Not easy to write only ten but still….
1. Ashi hi banva banavi (Marathi) : An excellent piece of Marathi comedy film. Ashok Saraf and Laxmikant Berde, are the two actors who run this show on the base of shear timing.
2. Valu (Marathi) : Simple rustic subject, simple country side language and excellent story. No melodrama, simplicity at its peak. Great performance by Girish Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash, Jyoti Subhash, Atul Kulkarni.
3. Dil to pagal hain (Hindi) : Full on dramatic story, but nice music and dances.
4. Chak de India (Hindi) : Inspiring film with excellent acting by everyone.
5. Home alone (English) : All time favourite, and interesting and family drama. Worth watching every year.
6. Saving Private Ryan (English) : Tom Hanks movie, excellent acting, amazing story.
7. Sleepless in Seattle (English) : Again Tom Hanks movie, simple subjects, so many shades and so much food for thought, beautiful story as usual.
8. Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone (English) : Introduction to wizarding world by great J K Rowling… Fantasy, friendship, fun, inspiration and creativity at another level.
9. Dead poet society (English) : Robin Williams Inspiring film. Students teacher interactions, relationship, inspiration and spirit of life.
10. Moneyball (English) : It’s all about numbers or about skill… Jonah Hill, playing a statistician, highlights the strength of maths and stats. We can see that technology can lead you even on sports ground. Reality is not as easy as it looks.
