Ever been caught in the eternal philosophical dilemma of “Am I a leader or a follower?” Fear not. I’ve cracked the code. The answer is… Yes. To both.

Here…please go through The Art of Strategic Leadership-Followership Fusion.

1. Leader – When Necessary (and When I Actually Know stuff)

Look, if I’ve read the book, given exams, have an experience working with the very subject, then I know I can lead. Period. Knowledge is the power. I lead when the situation calls for it. Which is usually when no one else is making sense, or worse, when the loudest voice in the room is confidently wrong. That’s my cue to gracefully take the wheel. Or rip it out of their hands, obviously depending on my knowledge and experience.

2. Follower – When I Have No Clue What’s Going On

Listen, sometimes leadership is knowing when to sit down, shut up, and let other people do their thing. If there’s a sea of technology jargons, acronyms, and people nodding like they’re in a cult initiation, I’m not leading, I’m observing. Probably asking, “Are we sure this is English?” Being a follower isn’t weakness. It’s strategic delegation. Also, it’s a great time to catch up on internal monologues like “What is the agenda again?” or “How long can I look thoughtful without contributing anything?”

3. Leader – Especially When Others Keep Calling Themselves One

Ah, yes. The moment someone self-declares, “I’m a natural-born leader,” I suddenly feel the intense urge to lead, if only to restore balance to the Force. Leadership is earned, not hashtagged in a LinkedIn post. So when someone’s walking around with “#CEOenergy” in their bio, you better believe… I’m Dumbledore!!

4. Follower – Sometimes to Let Others Feel Special

Sometimes, I follow just to give someone else their “main character moment.” Go ahead, dude. Present your color-coded spreadsheet. I will nod with awe and strategically placed “Hmm!”s to inflate your sense of accomplishment. That’s not submission. That’s people management at its finest.

5. The Bottom Line? I’m a Walking, Talking Communication God.

This whole “leader vs. follower” thing? It’s just good communication. Or adaptability. Or, you know, pure perfection wrapped in humility. Because in the end, it’s really a leadership vibe. A dynamic presence. What say?
