Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.

Everyone loves to eat delicious food. The burst of flavors, comforting aromas, and satisfying bites bring joy to the dining table. But let’s be honest—it’s not easy to cook delicious or restaurant-style food every single time. It takes effort, creativity, and sometimes even luck to hit the right balance of taste every time.

As a home cook, I’ve realized that cooking is not just about taste—it’s about care, effort, and nourishment. Many of us try our best to match the different taste preferences of our family members. We experiment, adjust, and repeat, hoping that one dish will bring a smile to everyone’s face.

But over time, what I’ve come to believe is that simple, easy-to-cook, and healthy food is what truly matters. In the long run, it’s not about elaborate meals—it’s about food that fuels, heals, and comforts. I’ve kept my cooking style grounded in simplicity: using fresh ingredients, minimal oil, and familiar flavors.

And the best part? My family supports me wholeheartedly in this. They understand the love behind every simple dish and appreciate the consistency, care, and thought I put into it. Whether it’s a humble Khichdi, a light curry, or a quick stir-fry, they never criticize food. Watching them leave empty plates gives me immense joy.

Cooking doesn’t have to be complicated to be appreciated—it just has to be made with love. And in my home, that’s more than enough.
