Daily writing prompt
What do you wish you could do more every day?

In a world filled with distractions, reading often takes a backseat to social media, TV, and endless scrolling. Yet, every time I pick up a book, I remember why I love reading—its ability to transport me to different worlds, introduce me to new ideas, and expand my perspective.

Every time I start reading I understand that I need to read more, not just as a hobby but as a conscious effort to grow intellectually and personally.

Reading has numerous benefits. It improves vocabulary, enhances critical thinking, and reduces stress. Fiction allows me to escape into imaginative worlds, while non-fiction helps me understand history, psychology, and self-improvement.

Despite knowing these advantages, I often struggle to make time for reading. Work, daily responsibilities, and digital distractions always seem to take priority. To overcome this, I plan to set small, achievable reading goals. Instead of aiming for unrealistic numbers, I will start with 20 minutes of reading each day.

I need to create a reading-friendly environment by reducing screen time before bed and replacing it with a good book. I also want to diversify my reading list. While I enjoy fiction, I aim to explore more biographies, self-help books, and literature from different cultures. Additionally, joining a book club or discussing books with friends can help keep me accountable and motivated.

Reading more isn’t just about finishing books—it’s about making a lifelong habit of learning and curiosity. By making small changes, I hope to rekindle my love for reading and make it an essential part of my daily routine.
