Share one of the best gifts you’ve ever received.

During my college days, my friends and I organized a science camp for school students in a remote village. It was a one-day event. We aimed to make science fun. We wanted to make it accessible to children who had limited exposure to practical experiments.

We prepared simple yet fascinating experiments related to physics and chemistry, hoping to ignite curiosity and excitement among the young minds. Throughout the day, we demonstrated various experiments. These included inflating a balloon using vinegar and baking soda. We also tested different substances with litmus paper. Additionally, we showed them how to use a microscope to observe tiny organisms. The children were amazed and delighted by these activities, their eyes widening with wonder as they witnessed the magic of science unfold before them.

Their enthusiasm was contagious, and we felt immense joy in sharing our knowledge with them. As the session progressed, we grew more familiar with the kids, chatting and laughing with them. They shared their dreams and aspirations, and we encouraged them to pursue their interests in science. The bond we formed in just a few hours was heartwarming and unexpected. Towards the end of the camp, a small girl hesitantly approached me. With a shy smile, she held out a tiny flower and asked if she could place it in my hair. Her innocent gesture touched me deeply. I nodded with a smile. I still remember her face glowing with happiness.

At that moment, I realized that the purest gifts do not come wrapped in paper but in the form of kindness and love. That simple act of affection remains one of my happiest memories. It reminds me that sometimes the smallest gestures hold the greatest meaning.
