I am patriotic. I love my country and I want it to be the best in the world.
Being patriotic means a responsible citizen for me. What meaning I expect ? Well let me tell you what I don’t. I don’t expect that only government can solve various problems like high petrol rates, corruption, black money, pits on roads, reservations, environmental balance schemes, jobs, free food, and many more. I guess I am learned enough to understand what government can do and what civilian should do. I don’t like to ask development for free without hard work.
I understand few basic things such as the difference between road and foothpath, not walking on road like you do in park, wait in queue, behave in public organisations, follow traffic rules, there is difference between public and private property, so one needs to respect that, giving or asking donations or favors for admissions is also a crime, when we eat pizza for a long we are in a way devaluating our own currency and not showing off our status-co, we disregard yoga and follow some random salads and diet which is not related to our Indian constellation at all.
I wonder when will we Indians understand our own value? Why do we follow others blindly? Why still foreign returned person gets more value? Why everyone around is in struggle of getting some other brand, visa? We show our voting on social sites but do we fulfill our responsibilities? Do we strictly follow bifurcation of wet and dry garbage? Why people spit on road? Why don’t they follow signals? Why national level exam papers get leaked and exams need to be taken all over again? Why we don’t eat our own seasonal fruits and veggies, why we need broccoli or avocado? In search of comfort do we even know where we are going? Exhausted in the race of exotic!!
I don’t want to sound negative and would be sorry for bothering. But would like citizens of my country to be more proud and responsible! It is a golden piece of land, it should be honored and tackled respectfully.
