वदने दशन्ति दशना:

रसना तत्स्वादमनुभवति।

रितिरियं विमलानां

क्लिश्यन्ति यदन्यकार्येषु।।
 
vadane dashnti dashanaha
rasanaa tatsvadamanubhavati|
ritiriyam vimlanaam
klishyanti yadanyakaryeshu||
 
तोंडात चावण्याचे काम दात करतात, चवीचा आस्वाद जीभ घेऊ शकते. सज्जनांची वागण्याची पद्धत अशीच असते, ते दुसऱ्याचे काम करण्यासाठी झटत असतात.
 
The teeth chew the food in the mouth but food gets tasted by the tongue. This is how the gentlemen behave, they strive to do the work of others.
