चातकस्त्रिचतुरान् पय:कणान्, याचते जलधरं पिपासया|

सोsपि पूरयति विश्वमम्भसा, हन्त हन्त महतामुदारता||

sopi pooryti vishvammbhsa, hnta hnta mhtaamudaarta||

जेव्हा तहानेने व्याकूळ झालेला चातक पक्षी ढगाकडे तीन-चार थेंब पाणी मागतो, तेव्हा ढग मात्र साऱ्या विश्वाला पाणी देतो. सज्जनांचे वागणे हे कायम असेच परोपकारी असते.

When Chataka bird feels thirsty, he asks for three-four drops of water from the cloud. But they fill the clouds provide water to whole the universe. This is the generous way of behavior of great people.
